Prom 2017 Inspiration

Merry Wednesday to you! I had the greatest pleasure of photographing a lovely girl from my hometown this past weekend. I arranged this session as a “prom inspiration” because Prom 2017 is headed our way VERY soon. There is a great promo going on for prom sessions from now until April 1. If you contact me before April 1 (the session can be before or after April 1), you get a 45 min – 1 hour session of your girl in her prom dress, at a location of your choice, a FREE mani or pedi for her shoot, and it’s all for just $199. This promo discount rate is 50%-75% less expensive than other similar packages in my pricing guide. I would suggest hopping on over to the contact page ASAP to score your date because there are limited spots available for this year’s prom. I’d love to help capture the most important time in your girl (or guy’s) high school career. Other than graduating, of course….graduating is high priority. 😉

For this shoot, I headed to a park in my hometown where EVERYONE goes to have prom pictures taken. Celebration Park. Heck, I even had my prom pictures taken there Junior year. 😀 My goal was to head to a place that would be familiar to many people who have witnessed prom season in past years. This park is a really beautiful place, and there’s an adorable historic home right beside it, and to top things off, it’s next to a train track! Ah! There’s the town hall behind the park, the go-to gas station Country Boy’s, and the old Franklin Mercantile across the tracks from the park that marks the spot of deep southern history for Glen St. Mary, Macclenny, and Baker County. Past this little secluded patch of southern history, you can’t get any deeper into the history rich FL/Ga bend except to drive North into St. George, Ga.

There is another park in the neighboring city, Macclenny, called Heritage Park that boasts more of the city’s history than Celebration Park. There are old structures, recreations of soda shops, train stations, and other establishments that were common to the era, and it sits due East on the exact same railroad track that Celebration does, just a mile or two or three down the tracks.

It’s rainy down here in south Fl, so if it’s dreary where you are as well, grab a hot cuppa, maybe a blanket, and enjoy this sweet southern session, friends!
